I decided to make a billboard of sorts for Yellowstone. I worked there last summer and loved it. I made the colors by taking a brown square and putting it behind the picture, then making the picture slightly opaque so the mountains give off a red feel to them that matches the banner at the top I tried to make the river match the sky as well, but had less luck doing that.
The color of the type works well with the rock, and contrasts well with the sky. I would like to see a widescreen version of this ad. It feels very cramped, whereas my perspective of Yellowstone is of wide landscapes.
I like the way that you used the brown throughout the whole piece. It really pulled the whole thing together!

ReplyDeleteThe brown is really nice and it makes the blue sky really pop which gives it a very rustic yet adventurous feel
