One Try at a Waffle - Nathan Pope

This is a picture I took a few weeks ago of a waffle my roommate had cooked. This occasion was momentous and worthy of a picture at the time because this roommate isn't the most culinary gifted. I think it's a fun little picture of one college student's attempt at real food, to emphasize the hopefulness of the waffle I heightened the colors of the waffle and darkened off of the plate.

Hope, in a comical way, is essentially the emotion I was trying to convey. In his own way, my roommate made something that he was proud off. We didn't hear anything else but waffles from him for quite a while. That memory brings those emotions to my mind, and this picture heightens it.

  2. This picture made me hungry as well. I think it's so important to celebrate the little accomplishments in life -- such as making waffles. I love that you were able to capture one of those little accomplishments.
