Dillon Olsen Assignment #1 "
So this was early one morning in the summer that was abnormally cold. But we had the whole lake to ourselves and the water was awesome. The emotion I feel it portrays is liberation. It was really nice to be on the lake and not worry about anything. I did some cropping so that the back of the boat wasn't in the picture, but the rope and water lead you to the wakeboarder. Water moves with its own flow and I feel like that adds to the feeling of liberation.

The best part of the picture is how the color reflects your description of the temperature when this picture was taken. You don't incorporate any warm colors and the blackened wakeboarder is awesome
ReplyDeleteBy cropping the boat out of the picture, you have the viewer assume things and that is a great part of capturing a moment. Also, the horizon in the background and the wave perfectly frame the wakeboarder.
ReplyDeleteThis is a sweet picture! It is a great mix of a great landscape and an action sport. There is a lot of emotion captured in the picture and I like how the wake and the rope line lead the audiences eyes toward the focal point.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors, they are cool, but not boring. Normally cooler colors don't convey action but these do.
ReplyDeleteAwesome picture. Great color and position of the subject.
