Assignment #1- Rebecca Harpster - A Man's Best Friend

I took this picture when I just recently adopted my dog and I thought it really captured the innocence and vulnerability animals can convey to people. A dog is a man's best friend, but to that dog that man is everything to it. I'm not trying to preach that "dogs are people too," but dogs convey emotions according to the situation they are in. In this photo my dog conveys his emotion of loneliness and unhappiness being locked up in a cage and is just waiting for someone to take him out and play with him!

  1. This is an awesome picture. I honestly thought you took it off of ASPCA's website. It is perfect in the simple way that it touches your heart and really makes you fall in love with the little guy right there.

  2. Please get that puppy out of the cage!!! The angle and the expression is perfect with the message.

  3. The color contrast in this photo makes you look closer and emphasizes the point about the dog's loneliness. The dog's dark color makes him fade into the background but once you see him, you understand the emotion as well.
