Mountain Home

This picture takes me back to summers spent in rural Idaho. I spent many months in this high country, a stark contrast to Chicago where I call home. I love the contrast and the light. The fence brings the viewer into the picture and mountain seems to be the focus point. The rigged mountains and the pealing rough fence reflects the rugged and untamed nature of the area and adventures spent their a as kid.

  1. I love how you used the fence to create movement. My eye started from the right and went left and was drawn to the mountains. Idaho is a beautiful place!

  2. I also love the movement in this photo, and the rigid lines in the mountain range. I really like that the photo is in black and white, it makes it very dramatic and beautiful. The gray rolling clouds are also really cool.

  3. I like the movement in this picture. my eyes are first drawn to the fence and then to the mountain. Everything about his picture is beautiful, the way the fence contrasts with the mountains creates a peaceful feel of the vast landscape.

  4. I love that this picture looks almost fake or painted because of how well it is composed. I really like the way the lighting is and how the whole picture gets brighter/lighter the more you look to the right.
The only thing, is that I wish the brightest spot of the photo was on the fence so that the eye was drawn there first. But the way it is, as was commented before, there is a line that draws the eye across the picture. Great job!
