Assignment #3: Sam Thorup "Eye Am Fierce"

For this assignment, I used an Analogous template that I created using photoshop. I photoshopped my husband's eye. I have always been fascinated by eyes and how they can portray so many different emotions. I decided to show that by using different colors, you can make the eye portray feelings and evoke feelings from other people. These colors are particularly intense because I wanted the shades to draw people into the eye and to represent something "fierce."

  1. Woa, this pic is crazy! The colors are really intense and I think it looks great! The red really stands out and is bold. That is so true that eyes convey many emotions and I think you did a good job conveying that!

  3. Very well done on making all the colors naturally blend together. It almost looks like it has different layers like the earth. I love it.

  4. I really like the mix of colors in the eye. I'd almost rather you didn't put the text because I think the photo alone speaks for itself. Otherwise it's really great.

  6. I really like the hues used in this one. The scheme makes it look like a galaxy and I think that's way rad. Nice job.

  7. I really enjoy how the colors are blended well so it seems natural. I almost think that just adding the element of color there would have been enough, and that you didn't need to state "Fierce," because it almost detracts from what's going on in the picture, since the fact that it's the only thing that has color, combined with how you blended it makes it fierce in and of itself.

  8. Fierce is the right word to summarize this photo because the colors in the eye bring out an intensity and fire, especially against the black and white surrounding. I suggest maybe a different font for the word to fit the theme of the picture. Regardless, this is awesome!
