Nathan Innis - Final Project

For my final, I made my little sister a photography website. I've helped her with shoots in the past, and now that she's in college I've been encouraging her to market herself. I used Photoshop to build this home page mock up from scratch. (Second time ever trying to use Photoshop here.) After talking to her, I decided on a clean, minimalist layout for the menu to bring attention directly to the photos. The background is actually barely orange - in order to make the white in the photos more brilliant. For logo design, I researched fonts til I found one that I felt matched what she was looking for. I rendered a background texture over the ellipse, and made the letters pop with glow effect. I touched up a few of her pictures, mainly to make the colors more vibrant.

  1. The thing I really love about this is how clean it looks. For a photography website with the kinds of photos that you have shown here, I think this is a great approach! From a usability standpoint I think it's really straightforward and really aesthetically pleasing. Nice work!

  2. I love the simplicity of the design. Your presentation is so clean and professional, but doesn't detract from your sister's artwork which really helps to compliment her work and the work you put into the website design.
