Steven Potter - Final Project

This is just a sampling of my final project. What I did was take The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and recreate it with the same text but a modern look and feel for the front cover and text. I used InDesign and stock photos of rivers and landscapes to capture the feeling of being alone on a river. I used photoshop to create a gray, almost depressing feeling. As far as techniques, I thought the photo on the front would draw people in because it feels mysterious. I also used alignment and color subtly because I didn't want to detract from my modern concept on a classic story. I used really strong alignment in the hopes of making it feel clean and organized. The color of the title is matched to the color in the raft to provide unity to the book.
