Font Infographic
Created by: Kensey Berry
Throughout the semester I have found it somewhat difficult to apply a specific font to a photo. During the pervious assignments I began to write down what fonts I thought went better with what "type" of photo. Through the course of my final project I began testing out many, many fonts on many, many photos. I began to then create an opinion of what fonts went better with certain photos.
I selected six photos that I felt best encompassed a selection of different types photos that you might see the most often. After selecting my photos I began to edit each one based around some of the many skills we learned over the course of the semester. Throughout the photos you can see that I used skills such as the rule of thirds, central focus, blurred edges, contrast, color enhancement, sharpness, line placement and many more.
The focus and purpose behind this infographic was to help individuals create ideas about what font may or may not look good within there photo. I felt like making it simplistic because with infographic people can only stay focused for a given amount of time - so the cleaner and more simple the better. As you can see for each photo I created a sample of the font on the photo and then a description of what that photo "is." The infographic displays what we have learned throughout the semester in a layer of different ways.

I like the fonts you use at the top of the infograph. However, the way they are laid out made me read it "Tips on how to Font..." Maybe that was just me, but something to consider.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did here. I agree with the above comment, but I still think it works really well.
