For my final project I wanted to do an ad because I am in the Advertising emphasis in the comms program. The Arctic Monkeys are one of my favorite bands so I decided to do a poster as an advertisement for them. This project actually took a couple of weeks to finish. The face is a low poly image that I made from a large amount of little triangles. The process of making this took far longer than I expected but I am pleased with the result.
One of my favorite parts of this course was when we learned about typography so I knew that I wanted that to play an important role in the piece as well. The text are lyrics from my favorite Arctic Monkeys song which I think goes along well with the piece. I used a gray matte color with some noise added for the background and added a light source in the top right that made the shadowing on the face make sense. Overall this is my favorite piece that I have done for the class even though it was by far the most time consuming.
Not gonna lie, it looks like a young Joseph Smith haha great work Char! good color, maybe balance him out a bit more with the rule of thirds, overall epic winning.
