Hannah Maines - Final Project

A few weeks ago I came across an article from Time Magazine that listed ten places on earth that scientists predict will vanish within the next 100 years. I thought the article was really interesting, so I chose five of most surprising and famous places that are expected to disappear and made the information into an infographic. It is the first infographic I've ever made, and I used Canva and Photoshop. I wanted it to be basic and easy to read, but also have a lot of information. The elements of design that I used are typography elements (leading, kerning, different fonts), color scheme (shades of blue and gray for a simple vibe, also to go with the theme of glaciers melting/ global climate change), and balance (having a list on each side of the visual, with the map of the world above it).

I commented on: Annmarie Moore, Cameron Moon, Gabe McFadden, Justin Alworth, Kyle Lewis

  2. Really great layout and very informative! I am from Montana and it would be sad to see Glacier NP go. Maybe you could try adding images of those placed in the layout so make people want to see more about these majestic and historic areas! Great work!

  3. Absolutely love this! I really like this infographic. It's easy to read and the information doesn't overwhelm the viewer too much. Maybe adding a little more space between the reasons for each location could help it be a bit less crowded, but I think it's fine just the way it is, too!
