Lorraine Bailey-Logo assignment - "Family tree."
I decided to create a logo that represented me personally in my family tree. I choose to split it in two sides: one side with my maiden name "Chomel" and another side with my married name "Bailey." I thought that would represent how two families can be united through one person and from there "roots can grow," forming another family. I selected soft colors because to me, being part of a family/group is a reassuring and calming idea. I chose a neutral beige (light yellow) for the left side because it represents my "american" side of the family here in Utah and when i think of Utah i picture dry landscapes with sand, dust, etc. The right side, which represents my french side, is blue because I am from the oceanic coast. I wrote the last names in dark red and in a font called "french script" because that's often the color and handwriting style used in old family lineage books in France. I colored the tree black so that it would stand out as the main part of the logo. The tree is center to the logo; it is where the two families merge together (two colors merging together.)
