Victoria Wilkins Picture Assignment #1-Tangry

You guys have all heard of being hangry (hungry angry). Well, this photo depicts the emotions of my kitty being tired and angry. Thus the title of my assignment, Tangry. This is the very first photo I took when I got this kitty. At the time I was terrified that I had a demon cat, now I laugh at how I was clearly interrupting his nap with my photo.

I darkened the background color to emphasize the contrast between the light kitten and the dark background. I also cropped the top of the image to align the red eyes with the rule of thirds. I also edited the colors to focus the image on the kittens face.

Hope you guys like it and lol a little!:)

  2. B/c I love cats I had to comment. I love that you left the eyes red. Creepy, but awesome. And I like the dark background in contrast with the tan fur. Good job.

  5. Your contrast and idea is good. :) love how you made your own word as the title. I have one suggestion, you said you cropped it. I would suggest cropping it slightly different so that all of the cat's ear is in the picture. If you have those pixels, it completes the picture. Right now it feels incomplete.

  6. Mostly I'm just commenting because I love cats... But also I really like what you did with the picture. I like the dark background, it kind of puts the cat out of context which gives it a superficial sci-fi feel. Well done, I say.

  7. Lol. Victoria this is great. The contrast option was an excellent idea to make the tangry kitty the main focus.

  8. I love the fierce contrast in this photo. I also love aggressive kittens.

  9. The contrast definitely worked to your advantage, it helps the features of the cat stand out more.

  10. Nice work on portraying the emotion but don't forget the rule of thirds

  11. I like how the anger of the cat it displayed and you can't see where it is coming from or what he will do next. Good work!
