Piano has always been a refuge for me. A place to unwind and refocus myself on what is most important. I decided to turn the photo black and white to play off the colors of the piano keys and create a sense of stillness. I also feel that the black and white allows the viewer to create their own sense of color and hone in on their unique perception of what the music might sound like. I positioned bright light on one side while keeping the other side dark to portray the reality of opposition in all things. Through the good times and the bad, this photos serves as a reminder of how lucky I feel to have found one thing in my life that always brings me great clarity and peace.

I love the symbol of the black and white keys playing on the reality of the actual color of keys. I can hear the sound of Beethoven now.
ReplyDeleteI love the movement this image creates. My eye immediately focused on your gorgeous ring, and then followed around each of your fingers. This is a really cool idea and turned out great.
