Picture #1 Assignment- Untouched

UNTOUCHED
It is unlikely to find a place unspoiled by man's nature to disrupt the beauty of God's green earth. It's even more unlikely to have it be your own backyard. The Evergreen State refuses to surrender it's untouched beauty for the plague of man's greed. Man will find true wealth when pondering the greatness of the world around him. Instantly he is no longer the center of the universe, but the universe is the center of him. His thoughts and senses inhale the peace that is provided by the shelter of his majestic surroundings. There is nothing to impede man from the ultimate freedom that can be gained by being in God's untouched creations. My home is my retreat from the chaos everywhere else. In my home, it is the blessing to touch the untouched.

This photo was taken during the summer in my home state of Washington. I was visiting for a friends wedding, and went into the Cascades behind my home to enjoy the sights and colors Washington has to offer. Every time I go home, I am reminded of why I want to return because of the peace and freshness that I feel when I am in areas like this.

  1. Wow that is beautiful. I love all of the green. So healthy and refreshing looking. I never thought I would like going to Washington because of all the rain, but now I see why it rains so much. Because it creates beautiful nourished places like this.

  3. Man, the colors of the photo just bring out what beauty means in nature. Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he sent Christ to go create this beautiful earth.

  4. Any photoshopping on the colors? If not it is amazing how they were captured.
