God knows us. He knows when we are trying our best. Life may be challenging and a continual process of self discovery, but it is meant to be enjoyed. God sometimes uses unconventional ways to send us messages and remind us to relax. Whether it be a beautiful sunset, a child's laugh, a funny t-shirt, or a fortune cookie, He will always find ways to show us that He is mindful of each of us. Let us not stress, but instead just try our best, and remember to not look and see how far we have to go, but see how far we have come on our journey through life.
The lighting that I chose for this specific picture emphasizes the harsh edges and dirtiness of the steps, but also the simplicity and beauty of God's love through the slight glow around the fortune.

I like the simplicity of this photo. Everyone knows this position. Going to a Chinese restaurant and looking down to read their fortune. But the words are always different and some in particular will affect one moment and some might define your whole existence. Something so simple can have a great meaning and impact.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to this photo. My wife got a fortune cookie prior to our engagement that said she would find someone special to be with in the near future. True message, and as mentioned above, the simplicity of the photo is what stands out to me.
ReplyDeleteI love this just because it's how I feel basically every week. It is super relatable. Also I love the lighting.
ReplyDeleteSimple but impactful! We have this taped to a computer at my work and it automatically helps lift my spirits when I see it. I like how you caputured the fortune just plan and simple. great picture and positioning.
ReplyDeleteThe simple aspect of the photo is excellent. I enjoyed the story behind it. It clearly displays the concept behind it. I also thought you did an awesome job of highlighting the steps in the background. Good work.
