Lakeside Serenity
I went to Utah Lake last week to watch the sunset. As I was there, I was overcome by the beauty of it all and I felt such a sense of peace. There's a certain type of tranquility that comes only when in nature, and I wanted to capture that feeling through this picture. Nature has the ability to bring us serenity even in the craziest of times.
I used the camera on my iPhone 6, which is incredibly clear. I did a panorama of the lake, and used the rocks to create movement and lead the eyes to the sunset and tree on the right side of the picture. This is the original picture -- no filters or enhancements used. :)

Beautiful! The lighting is amazing. The reflection and the stillness of the water really does a lot to convey the peace you were describing. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHaving literally been raised in this lake...I'm blown away by what you've done with the place. Amazing job!
ReplyDeleteThis picture is absolutely stunning. You did a really really good job in the composition.
ReplyDeleteThis photo is really quite beautiful. I can feel the peace and serenity that you were going for. Really nice job.
ReplyDeleteThe lighting in this is beautiful! I often find it hard to capture the beautiful things you can see with your eyes with a camera lens, but you have done an excellent job here.
ReplyDeleteThough love how full the sun is in this picture, I enjoy most the still, grand lake as it expands to both edges of the frame.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lighting and camera angle!!
