Hannah Maines- Assignment #2 "Ready, set, go"

For this assignment I made a poster from a picture I took with a GoPro. I wanted the call to action to be to get up and go do something. As college students, it's easy to get loaded down with hours of homework and studying. There are days when we get up before the sun is out and don't come home until it's dark.  But we live in a beautiful state, and by staying stagnant in the library all day we are missing out on the world around us and all it has to offer.

I edited this image in Photoshop by decreasing the contrast of the photo and adding slight saturation to the sky. I also brightened the image. I then inserted the type and arrow on Canva. I used the fonts Roboto and Raleway. I wanted the font to be bold and unavoidable. I thought white type worked well because it matched the GoPro stick and the clouds.

I commented on: Sarah Davies, Abby Hobbs, Chloe Johnson, Andrew Forrest, Annmarie Moore

  1. I like the "vintage" feeling you have in the picture with the fainted colors. I also like on you made the word "GO" bigger, making it jump out of the sentence with the arrow under it.

  4. I like the overlay effect that you have to dull the picture a little bit. I think the arrow makes your font work well too
