I decided to make this poster about dinosaurs for dinosaur awareness day. I choose to use a color scheme I created that I thought dinosaurs might have liked if they could pick their own colors. I put my dinosaur in the far left and have my text on the other side to balance out the layout.
I put my dinosaur in a target, he's in the cross hairs of someone's rifle scope so to speak.
I'm really pleased with the end result of this layout. I like the contrast of a pre-historic creature fitted to my modern layout.
I wanted the text to convey a sense of wonderment, as in when someone reads this they have to stop and say huh?
That's the brilliance of this layout it catches people off guard and forces them to look for the meaning.
What do you think it means?

I agree with you about the contrast of the dinosaur and the techno design, it looks great. It had the effect you wanted, I didn't know what the meaning of the ad was until you explained it, and then I understood it.
ReplyDeleteThe use of the grid is awesome! You nailed it. I feel like it is a sniper scope and we are aiming to kill the dinosaur. Eluding to the fact that maybe they are still alive.
