I went to check out the new venue that I'll be playing at this Friday and noticed all of these mics in the corner. I decided to place them on either sides of the stage in no particular order to create the balance. I also asked the owner to put on red and blue lights because they are often seen as complimentary to each other (in my opinion because blue and green are so close and red&green are opposite colors). After I took the picture I placed this text over it because I've always loved this quote. I am definitely a fan of balanced photos so this scene was comforting to me.

I love the font choice, and I also really like how there are only a couple words per line, making the block of text longer and narrower. Makes it match well with the microphones.
ReplyDeleteWe've been taught that everything in an image adds or detracts from it, you did a great job at keeping the image clean, and displaying the information well. There's great balance in this picture and the words complete it.
ReplyDeleteNot only is there balance with the equipment and the text but there is also balance between red and blue light. The white in the text really pop out to get the viewer's attention to the quote. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteFirst the quote is just awesome and it stands out. It was the the first thing I saw. Then you really got things balanced without having it look completely symmetrical which is great as well. then from top to bottom I like that you can see the different lights and the colors they are pushing down on the stage. Really awesome job.
