Assignment #4: Taylor Ricks - All in a day's work

For this assignment I decided to create a simple magazine cover layout.  I wanted to use a picture and title that would tell a story of its own and draw the reader in.  I used a picture I took just yesterday of my father-in-law and slightly edited it to bring out the color of his clothes.  I stuck with the blue and white colors to keep everything uniform.  I aligned the text to the left to draw the view from my father-in-law's to the text and then back again.

  1. I like this magazine cover. I like how it is balanced with the words and the man. I love the image and I like the colors. But maybe don't use so many words or organize them in different way.

  2. That picture is great. I could totally see this picture being used in this magazine. The balance between the man and the type is great.

  3. I love this. Good color combo, I like that you put a transparent block for the main title. It draws the eye there.

  4. Well balanced as previously stated and the magazine logo is done well too. Color scheme is done evenly throughout which is nice. I can't tell if the font you used is bolded or not, but I would recommend to not have in bolded. Also saying less is more. Otherwise, great job!
