Assignment #3 - Morgan Linford - California Home
My scheme is a monochromatic color scheme created on Adobe Color based off of this picture I took back home in California. I feel that the color scheme used looks very warm, but this was in fact, a cold day at the beach, which makes this picture appealing to me. I like that the color is deceiving. I toned the original color (orange) using tinting and shading to create these harmonious colors. These colors could have also been created by taking complementary colors and mixing them, and then toning, but I chose to use a simple, orange hue.

It is super cool that you included your color scheme because i can see them better in the picture. I agree with all of the statements you made in you statement. The colors work together so well. It really does create a sense of serenity. My only suggestion would be to add text to incorporate all the things weve learned. But this is freaking gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI like this photo a lot. It's similar to the photo I posted as far as the color scheme. Makes me miss being in California as well. Good color choices.
ReplyDeleteI like that this photo appears to incorporate a beautiful color scheme naturally. I know you touched up the color and made it better match the scheme, but I certainly wouldn't have been able to tell if you hadn't said anything. This picture is very appealing to the eye. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHi Morgan! I totally agree with you. This color scheme does give the picture a very warm feeling. You wouldn't know that it was a cold day if you didn't say something. Well done!
ReplyDeleteNice colors! I like how your eye is drawn to the sun, but the darker colors compliment it really well!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very appealing image. I feel like it could be used on a postcard. Great job with the colors.
