I came across this shoe sitting on this wall as I was making my way to class. It struck me because it was without its other half and was pointing to the shrubs as if its owner had decided to run through the bushes without it. I liked the idea of venturing out, so I used it. I cropped the picture so that it could focus on the shoe and the path that the owner must have taken. I wanted the words in white among the bushes so that they stood out. I used the Gujarati Sangam font which has a conservative nature. I wanted the words to simply sit in the corner so that, while they were prominent, did not get in the way of the rest of the image.

The empty shoe really sends a great message, that the viewer is ready to embark on an adventure. I also like the contrast of the text against the grass.
