I took this picture by Utah lake, and when I looked at it without the typography it made me think of a cool breath of fresh air. Everything looks crisp and bright. Nature is a great de-stressor for me and I wanted to share that in this image. The fence in the bottom left corner of the picture is symbolic of the barriers that stop us from appreciating God's creations. I chose this font because it was simple and seemed very open. I chose white text so that the letters would match the colors of the clouds. I also increased the spacing between the letters to make the message seem more relaxed and peaceful.

First off the visual is quite breathtaking... not a pun. the way the clouds are moving to the right is perfect for the type you used. breathe. simple not complicated, not trying to force me to think about anything just giving me the ability to interpret it as i will. i love it.

ReplyDeleteThe visual itself is quite beautiful, but I think it is enhanced by the typography. The font is very simple and relaxed. I like how the text stands out against the dark mountains, and how the directions of the wheat draws your eyes to it. I also thought it was ingenious that your text got bigger at the end as if you were slowly exhaling.

What I like about this is the fact that you made it. Also, the font gets bigger just like the clouds. I dig.
