Lisa Crofts- Final

My sister Laura is a mommy blogger looking to increase her followers and build a brand. Her original website (a Word Press blog) was nice, but many readers wouldn't get past the one or two blog posts because it was too time consuming. Her blog (shown above) also had a lot of white space and not enough content to keep readers interested. When designing her website, I focused on what her readers would want- convenience, interesting photo/headlines, and a simple layout.  I brightened the colors of her photos to draw attention, chose natural colors and simple fonts. 

As for Laura's logo, we are still trying to figure it out. Her old logo is very traditional and she hopes to change it with something more modern looking. When I took this picture I applied the rule of thirds. I then outlined my sister and her friend and applied an inverted black and white background.
