So, for my final assignment I decided to create an advertisement for a fake company "Organics Makeup". Back in my home ward there is a group of women that have made their own makeup for years out of all natural products. As one of my younger sisters has started wearing makeup she has opted to wear organic products because it makes her feel less self-conscious about wearing makeup.
To create this advertisement I created the logo in photoshop by using a vector image, another image I took outside, and a font I downloaded from the internet. I started by editing the vector image and then started editing the nature photo. I upped the contrast and added more agents to the hue of the image. I then did a photo overlay to superimpose the image I had taken on the lip shape. I then used a special font that I felt matched the message I wanted to create. I used the transformation tools to bend the type so that it fit inside of the opening on the lips.
For the main photo of the add, I used 2 different pictures. I used another picture I had taken outside and messed with the colors to make the orange-isn and pink colors stand out a little more on the mountain. I then took a photo of a friend of mine and did some basic photoshop work to lighten the image and get rid of the little bit of shadow that was part of the image. I cut this out the way that Dr. Randle showed us in class a few weeks ago and laid it over the backdrop image. I placed the main subject in the center because I felt it gave it a stronger focus, but I used the rule of thirds to make sure that the subject's eyes fell right across the upper grid line.
I chose the fonts that I did because I felt they worked well together. The brand font is the same one used in the logo and the other is a sans serif that I thought was simple enough to go with the fancier one, but also strong enough to stand on its own at the top of the ad. I used the same green from the background image to create the backdrops for the type on the advertisement.

i love how you used a nature background, its a little hard to read the words on the dark green background though, maybe a lighter color? I love the logo too!
