Final Project - Bryan McDonnell

I started off with a plain colored background and burnt the edges. I then created a new layer and placed my text on the page and started looking for pictures. Once I got the plants that I wanted to use, I created a new layer for every picture that I had. I then put a mask on the foliage layers and started erasing the background of the foliage. For example, the daisy that you see 5 times, had a background of grass. I put a mask over the daisy layer and erased all of the grass leaving the plain colored background to be shown. Once I had done that, I copied it 4 more times and placed them randomly throughout the poster. the same thing was done with the twigs, the green leaf plant, and the pink roses (not copied as many times). I then moved around the layers to create the look I wanted with different flowers and plants in front of others. To intertwine the letters with the foliage, I simply erased the foliage that was in front of the letters and left what I wanted to be hidden

Mostly I just wanted to actually learn how to do something cool.  This project is based off of one my sister had done before, she is really great at photoshop so I had her teach me how to make a project like this.  The rewind could signify many different things.  I like to imagine the flowers themselves rewinding and then regrowing, it's a good message about starting from the beginning and becoming more beautiful, or better than you were before.
