Abby Hobbs-Color Assignment: Geese?

I used Adobe Kuler to create the color scheme.  I chose the color scheme based on this photo that I took of a random hood of a car in a parking lot.  I used the red, green, and yellow as an almost triad... off of the primary colors.  These colors are used in lot of country's flags (and the awesome guy who painted these stripes on his car) so I figured they go together really well.  I manipulated the photo on FotoFlexer to make the colors pop more and match the scheme I chose.  I used an effect called "cartoon" which really made the pixilation stand out and added the black fade border for a retro feel.  Then I altered the brightness and overall color "temperature" of the photo to make the yellow a bit more neon.  Making these editing choices also gave the undersides of the geese shadowing in the red and green from my color scheme, which I really like!

  1. I really like how you altered the colors in this picture. I think the way you executed the image made all the colors work together. I think it's memorable because you tried something that people often don't see.

  2. I saw this and immediately thought Jamaica. I think one of the best things about this picture is the dual shadows on the geese (and the pig at the end?) Really cool effect! Love the way the colors work as well. I think it might look a little better with less of a vignette though so that the largest goose doesn't appear to crowded or almost cut off.

  5. I really like the colors you used, but probably my favorite part of this picture is the shadows on either side of the geese!
