Color Assignment- Kyle Lewis
I used a monochromatic color scheme to make my palette. I used red as my base color, and changed the hue by adding black and white to make the Black, white and grey colors that you can see. The reason that I wanted these colors is because I wanted the red to pop out from the rest of the image. Black, white and grey are very clean but also do not distract from the color red. The red in the image is the eye catcher, and the main message that is wanted to be read. For my design, I was mostly just playing around. It doesn't really mean anything. The silhouette head looks like me with my thick black glasses. The 'K' and 'L' are just my initials. However, with the glasses on the head, it could look like it says 'kool' with the backwards 'K'.
I posted this earlier and received some feedback to help improve it. I decreased the size of the head from the original so that it doesn't take up as much of the space. I also added a strip along the top of the hair to hopefully make the shape more recognizable. I increased the size of the glasses, which I believe really did help out a lot. Finally, I increased the letter size for 'K' and 'L'. It helps it stand out a little bit more without the head taking up so much of the space.
You can find my original here to see the difference after the edits.

I like what you added in the hair, i think it helps a lot to recognize the head. I also like how the head kinda seem to be the dot from the "i" of design.
ReplyDeleteI really like the added bit to the hair, before it really looked like a water drop to me, but the added be makes it unmistakable, good job!
ReplyDeleteThe combination of colors here is impressive. I really like how the red pops.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the change is much better with the hair. I might make the circle look slightly more like a face on the bottom, but overall you did a good job. The glasses make the picture
ReplyDeleteI agree with Alex on the face at the bottom. Definitely a lot more obvious that it is a head. I really like the design!
