La Tour Eiffel
For this color palette, I chose a darkened complimentary scheme. The idea was to turn a daytime picture into a romantic evening shot. I boosted the saturation in the picture that I took walking home in Paris last Summer. However, I loved the red in the color scheme that I created and I thought that adding that dark, bold hue would tie in the picture nicely. So I filled the top of the building with red. Then I selected all the areas around the Eiffel Tower and added white to tint the sky from blue, to a white/beige so that it would tie in with the buildings. To tie in more red, I added transparent red to the sky, turning a daytime picture into more of a dusk.

Such a cool image!! I love what you did to the sky to create a very touristy feel and make it seem almost surreal. Makes me want to go there!
ReplyDeleteThis is post card worthy :) I like how even though it's obvious that the Eiffel Tower is going to be the main focus of this picture, you were able to sharpen the image on the buildings and soften the Eiffel Tower. It makes it so I am looking at more than just the obvious
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with Paris so I absolutely love this. The coloring and editing is excellent.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Chloe. I love the colors. and the tinting and shading.
