This is a picture that we took in high school my senior year. It always represented something very powerful to me. Our star running back got hurt and was carried off the field and left his pads sitting here. We captured this photo and it really told the story of how he was done. His pads and shoes sit alone, representing that he wasn't going to play anymore.

ReplyDeleteI agree with what Theodore commented earlier. The picture is really simple but very powerful. The first thing that I saw was the number on the jersey and then I took in the rest of the photo. With the "blandness" of the surroundings, the emotion in this picture is very strong. To me it evokes feelings of loneliness but also potential. Like anyone could come and suit up with the gear. Kind of a paradox, but I really like it!
