Final Project: Brooke Adams--Chowchilla Music Festival 2015 Lineup

These are the exclusive posters for the nine fictional bands headlining the fictional 2015 Chowchilla music festival taking place in the heart of real Chowchilla, California. The posters were designed especially for Chowchilla in a combined modern/minimalist style, which supports the overall tone and aesthetic of the festival itself. Despite this unifying style and typeface, each individual poster varies in layout, color, and other basic principles to reflect each band's personality and the diversity of music presented at Chowchilla. Therefore, some bands have symmetry (Sarcastic Love, All Monochromes, Knights of the Night), some draw attention by taking advantage of the rule of thirds (Eye Level Swipes, iPineapple, Ax Away), and some deliberately employ asymmetry (Hint of Caution, False Glitter, Next Level Winking), but all these styles maintain a visual balance. Similarly, the color schemes differ but are united in their brightness and flat texture characteristic of modern design.

The designs will be arranged together for sale as a Chowchilla 2015 poster at the festival. Individual band designs will be featured on tshirts and other merchandise, also for sale exclusively at Chowchilla 2015.

Chowchilla: The festival so exclusive, even Coachella-goers won't know about it for another two weeks

  1. I really love these posters! I love how they are arranged in different ways. I also like the bright colors and minimalist feeling. I love the font you used on each of the posters because it corresponds perfectly with the theme. When all elements are combined and compared to each other, even though each poster is portraying something different, they all relate to each other and create a beautiful harmony.

  2. I really like the contrast that you used in this photos and how it makes the posters stand out. Good use of visuals and text.
