Of the various ways one can design and portray images, I'm a particular fan of motion design. These images are snippets of a project I worked on for an individual whose company specializes in selling sleep-aids for children. The color scheme acts almost as a seamless combination of both a monochromatic and analogous color scheme. The blue monochromatic colors were chosen as the dominant colors in the video because blue is associated with depth, expertise and stability. Green and yellow were chosen not only to add vibrance and excitement to the video, but because of the emotions they evoke. Green is associated with safety when advertising medical products, and strongly corresponds with natural and organic elements. Yellow is associated with joy, and produces a warming and positive effect on the viewer. Combining these three analogous colors with a couple extra shades of blue helped the video convey the message that the advertised product is dependable, natural and loved by its consumers.
