Doug Heath - Assignment 3 - Downtown Sunset

I decided to simply illustrate a city skyline at sunset. I chose a complimentary color scheme using blues and golds, basing it off of the dark blue at the bottom. The different shades of blue were used to show closeness as well as the growing shadows at dusk.

I commented on Rebecca Harpster, Todd Bean, Jordan Miki Wheeler, Morgan Linford, and Colton Fullmer.

  1. This picture reminds me of the opening credits to Monster's Inc. Which is a complement, because if your work is bringing to mind the masters of animation at Pixar, you're doing something right. Good color choice!

  2. Good job! I like the complementary colors and the different shades of blue/yellow. I never would have thought to use complementary colors but then in all different shades, very creative.

  4. Crazy how you made these colors almost melt into each other with the last bit of the yellow on the sun standing out yet still making sense. Awesome!
