I studied makeup artistry and was a freelance makeup artist before attending BYU, so I knew I wanted to create something that would be visually interesting to someone in the makeup field. I created this look for Halloween and I wanted the focus to be on the makeup itself so that anyone seeing the ad would immediately be drawn to the creativity and then want to create something which would then direct their gaze to the product used to achieve the stars in this look.
I commented on Aaron Adams, Clarissa Oliphant, Mandy Facer, Brandon Henson, and Tanner Wadsworth.
I love the color of this. The text at the bottom is perfect for the picture. The text doesn't overpower the picture so the audience can focus on her makeup. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a legit ad. So legit I almost don't want to continue talking about it. There is really nothing bad i can say about this. I love the color, the image and the placement of the text. everything makes sense and it didnt make my head hurt which... is the most important thing.
ReplyDeleteThis looks just like a real ad! awesome job. One suggestion, you took all the time to cut the face out from the background so that it stands out more but the glittery snow stuff covers everything. I think it distracts. Maybe try putting it just in the background.
ReplyDeleteThis is incredible! I don't really like tatoo's and all of that stuff, but this really peaked my interest. There is so much contrast in the image and the image of the woman alone is quite striking. The advertisement looks real and I definitely was interested in it.
ReplyDeleteYou're insanely talented. This is the coolest thing I've ever seen, i love the colors in it and it definitely caught my attention but didn't distract from the ad- cool!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an AD created by professionals great job. In my head said "Get the London look." Umm love the color because it draws in women, the bottom is perfect and adds to the image. Well balanced, great job.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed by this. You kept the edgy style of the Rimmel London ads but made it your own. The galaxy-looking effect is cool/edgy, but still achieves its purpose to make the background fade and emphasize the makeup.
ReplyDeleteOH YOU GO GURL! Love the colors and your face. Looks like I should see this in a magazine!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I love how the pink isn't the only thing that pops, the black does too. Rimmel ads, so props!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, I appreciate you and I would like to read your next post
