Assignment #2: Plant a Garden--Carrie Duford

The reason I decided to create this visual is because of my own short comings. I hate gardens. I can't stand them or having to work in them, but my husband is a plant-lover. He has a whole indoor garden dedicated to various types of herbs. He loves his garden and makes sure that the plants have all they need--water, sunlight, etc. His example has helped me to better appreciate a garden. And now I issue that call to you. :)
The visual elements that are displayed are high contrast, balance, and the rule of thirds. Contrast is displayed between the green plants and the red/orange pots. There is a sense of balance created with the two sides of the photograph. And finally the main plant on the right that you see is on the intersection of two lines when using the rule of thirds.
