Rocket Man - color assignment by Robert Hill
Rocket Man is a comic book character created by my roommate. I wanted his suit to look a little more military, rather than spandex, because the idea behind the story is that it's a more reality-based superhero, so his suit has to be functional before aesthetic. The complimentary red and black are fairly common for superheroes (or, I guess, red and almost any other color...), indicating the dynamic, powerful character that he is. The gray, however, is actually more prevalent than the red or black, because his character isn't a showoff, but a rather humble guy. I should also clarify that I did not draw this suit, only designed the colors.

Even if you didn't draw the suit it look great! It looks really professional and I'm not sure what you had to do with the smoke, but it looks great too. I think the color scheme works great for what you described.
ReplyDeleteReally like the colors, they work well together. Also Love the smoke. How did you do that?
ReplyDeleteI really liked your description of the colors. Makes me want to see RM in a movie.
