In minimalist layouts according to
the text, the cover is usually just one strong image with white space in the
layout to convey the message. Furthermore, it also stated that minimalist
layouts "often work outwards from the main photo or image, with page
content balanced off or aligned to elements within the image.” So that is what
I tried to accomplish by creating white space for the headline and body copy. The
whole image uses movement through the location of me on the wakeboard using the
rule of thirds, leading the eye through the use of the lines I added to point
to the headline and text. I feel there is balance as well as other elements
that we have learned previously such as color, position, emphasis, and
lighting.

I really like how you made the picture almost look a little distorted but it still has a crisp look to it. The style of the text is cool also
ReplyDeleteSam this is really cool man! I love the color scheme and I think the title typography is really awesome. Nice picture too.

ReplyDeleteI liked that you put the W in a different color so it is readable. good job!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome "Kodak" moment. I like the typography as well. I would maybe only crop the photo so the wake boarder follows the rule of thirds a little more
