Mary Kate Davidson

I took this picture when I was in San Diego. I used various shades and tints of orange and yellow colors. Orange and yellow are right next to each other on the color wheel so they are harmonizing colors on the color wheel. All I did to edit the picture was up the contrast in photoshop, so the hill and guard tower were darkened and turned the vibrance of the colors up so it made the colors pop a bit more. Doing that also brought out the colors in the sky just a little bit more.

  1. This color scheme is very nostalgic. I yearn for such a Pacific sunset.

  3. Love this!!! I like the golden glow. And I really like the dark silhouette of the tower. Great color scheme!!

  4. Just beautiful. I love how you brought out certain colors of the sunset by darkening the guard tower.

  5. wonderful colors! i love the feeling of warmth this picture can convey. I would just crop part of the sky, at the top, a little maybe so that we can focus more on the sunset/sun part.
