I used different tints and shades of purple and green in this assignment with pictures I took while I was on my study abroad in London. The pictures were already slightly similar in color palettes--blues and greens--but I enhanced the greens to detract from the blues, then placed the photos on a light purple-grey background to draw attention to similar colors already in the images.
Purple and green viewed together create a mysterious yet soothing affect, if we're going solely off the analysis of individual colors as we've discussed in class. For me, the combination of the green and purple works cohesively together because they're both secondary, cooler colors. My goal was to convey a nostalgic, yet adventurous mood with this collage. Also, I just really miss London.
I commented on: Robbie Dorius, Anna Umstead, Ashley Frehner, Rhees Jackson, Ryan Wells

I love this color scheme because it is simple and understated but works really well as a whole!
ReplyDeleteI really like this color scheme and the way that the eye kind of follows the pictures around. I also really like the texture on the background. The only thing I would change would be making the purple in the photos stand out a little more, it was hard to recognize them as part of the color scheme.
ReplyDeleteI love your color scheme. It definitely has a calming effect.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you used the different pictures for each part of the color scheme, well done!
