Color Assignment--Kyle Lemperle

For my color assignment, I chose a picture from my mission that had a lot of color. I think the natural color schemes of the earth and nature are pretty amazing. All I did to the photo was add emphasis on each of the main colors in the scheme, especially the blue and pink because I think they are "stand-out" colors in this scheme. I added a little bit of brightness, and strengthened the contrast in order to bring out the colors. I felt like this picture could be on a postcard so I just wanted to make everything pop and look beautiful.

I commented on: Porter Chelson, Keith Hubert, Beach Picture with no name, Lorraine Bailey, Chelsea Luke

  1. This is a really pretty photo. I taught loads of families on my mission from Madeira. I really like how you have many different shades of blue. One thing I might recommend is that the ocean looks a little too blue. Maybe you didn't even touch it in photoshop (if you didn't, then that is really blue), but just a thought. I really like the picture!

  2. I love how the colors contrast each other so well in this picture. I don't know much about Madeira, but you succeeded at making me look it up. Great job!

  3. I like how you decided to use pink for the title. It makes the flowers pop out.

  5. What a really really cool angle! I would try to make the green mountain side more great..try to saturate it a little more? Nice work.

  6. Such an epic photo. The lighting with the color really pops. Maybe you could bring more light on the fore-front trees.
