Color Assignment - Chelsea Luke

I took this photo on campus and loved the coloring due to the pop of purple amongst all the brown and green. When editing the photo I just heightened the colors making the purples pop, causing a more cheery and peaceful feel.  More the most part I added white to the original colors I picked with my triadic color scheme.  Overall I love the coloring and the exciting feel the flower gives for spring and the ending of dull colored winter.

  1. I think it's cool how the picture brings emphasis to one or two specific colors, which are the purple and orange. It captures the colors of nature so well.

  2. The desaturation of the grass makes the flower pop out nicely.

  5. Great nature pic! I like how you didn't only have bright, vibrant colors, but also incorporated a light tan to contrast it with.

  7. Looking at your color scheme, I wouldn't assume that those colors would go well together, but this picture sure proves that it does!! Maybe a thought would be to move the flower up a little so the orange center hits the rule of thirds. Great photo!
