Color Assignment- Camilla Crawford

I created an advertisement for non-profit organization Musana. It is an organization that empowers women in Uganda. Harriet in navy blue, is an artisan for Musana. She is from Uganda and was sponsored by Vivint to come to America for Musanas annual gala just a couple of weeks ago. I chose this image because she had such a huge impact on me while staying with my room-mate. Musana means light and through her bright smile, appreciation of the small things, and example of strength she brought about change into my life.

The color scheme is complimentary. I chose these colors to create a classy image for the jewelry. I spent a lot of time trying to soften the edges of the image in Photoshop and would appreciate advice to fine tune it.

  1. I like the idea of the simple image with a plain white background. Also nice rule of thirds. Great idea for the non-profit. Props.

  2. I love the rule of thirds in this pic as well! Great job Camilla. The text seems strange being in the bottom right. I would have it up higher, but that just might be my stylistics, but my eye seems to naturally go there when I see the photo. Great photo. Great meaning.
