Final Project-Lindsey Peterson

Over Thanksgiving my family and I went to Hawaii so I thought for the final project I could incorporate a few of our favorite moments from our vacation and create a post card or advertisement for the island of Kauai.
I originally edited each photo in Lightroom and then put them all together using Photoshop. I think in each of my photos I used elements we have learned in class this year. In the top left picture I feel like I used the rule of thirds with the waterfall. The middle picture on the right side I thought the boardwalk led the eyes to the sunset. The bottom right picture I used the palm tree to frame the photo.
I chose the background color because I thought it wasn't too overpowering of the pictures or too faint. The color also had an earthy tone to go along with all the pics.

Blakely Gull, Erin O'Sullivan, Taylor Ricks, Ryan Cummings, Ashlyn Allred.

  1. I like the background color you used, and agree that it ties in all the earthy photos. Each photo is framed nicely and beautifully depicts Kauai! The font you chose ties all the different elements of the postcard together. Nice job!

  2. Great use of the "golden mean" for image placement. All these photos are beautiful, and it makes me want to visit. I guess that means it did its job, right?
