WAKE UP, FRIENDS!
Looked at it long enough? Annoyed yet? Me too.
I actually created multiple color schemes on the color wheel, and couldn't figure out which to use. I found a website that allowed me to color in a pattern with the exact colors I chose, and when I found this pattern, I knew I needed to pick some really loud, energetic colors. (Hence, the annoying part.) But the colors definitely capture your attention - they are all bright and very stimulating. This particular scheme is complementary, tweaked just a bit to get some analogous colors on each side of the complementary ends.

I love the choice of colors. Like you mentioned, they needed to be load and bright to go along with the image. You did a great job.
