Assignment #3 - Colton Fullmer
I wanted to give this a childlike feel to it so I gave it a grain and tried to use basic colors. The trees were created by using analogous colors of green and brown. I also used shade of green based off of the analogous colors I used to create the other greens found in the trees. The mountains were also created by using shaded colors. I used complimentary colors to create the colors used for the sun and the sky. I used a shaded color for the second half of the sun. I used RGB to communicate all of the colors used.

I really like the use of the the basic colors to make such a childlike picture. The colors that you used were perfect to depict this scene. Very well thought out. The complimentary colors of orange and blue go especially well together and make the image come together.
ReplyDeleteI like how the shapes and the colors really were more childlike. It reminds me of a story book. I also like your use of different shades of colors. It helped to draw the eye in to different parts of the pic
ReplyDeleteI liked that this picture used multiple color schemes to form this images. It really added to the picture and made the trees, mountains, sky, sun and cloud stand out. By using complementary colors for the sun and sky it adds to the image instead of making the image overwhelming. Overall this image is really well thought out.
ReplyDeletethe shadows of the trees caught my attention, i like similar shades which is awesome. You made the whole thing on your own which is cool and it reminds me of the cartoon parts in Elf. Basically each object has two colors to it which is interesting as well.
ReplyDeleteI think it is creative that you used only a few colors but then used different shades of each of them. It is simple and I think it accomplishes what you wanted-to keep it childlike. Good Job!
