Maren Owen- Assignment 1 - "Just Around the Corner"

While hiking in Zion National Park with my family, I captured this shot of my dad. We'd been up early in the morning to try and beat the sun, but regardless the sun still came out and began to beat down on us. We stopped to rest in the shade of the mountain before we rounded the corner to face the facade which we were to climb in the full heat of the noonday sun. As my dad looks on just around the corner in anticipation and fear of what will be coming next. This is what I sought to capture. Looking forward to the future ready to face whatever may be ahead.
