"Heaviness" by Mandy Facer September 27, 2014 |
The trials, afflictions and aches of life often weigh on us. When
we find ourselves drooping, it can be tempting to wallow in doubt and
self-pity. We don't have to be trapped in our heaviness though. Instead we can follow the example of the rose and choose to look past our present pain; we can soak up
the lessons and blessings only available in this difficult period. If we do, we’ll
bloom stronger when the rain does pass.
I love the color! The rain adds a nice touch and really makes the color stand out. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI love the analogy! "Soaking up" our life's lessons and making them blessings is such a great way to think about it.
ReplyDeleteThe close-up is powerful and the colors are intense. Awesome picture.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love the clarity of the picture. I feel like the flowers speak enough for themselves and hold their own "ground"--so to speak--without have to blur the background.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great image. You capture something that is typically associated with love and happiness, and make it look sad and lonely. Very intriguing.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition in this photo!
