My little cousin Deagan has autism. He constantly has to be very close to people and becomes anxious when he is alone. His uncle Lance took it upon himself to spend the entire day with him to make him feel comfortable. I was trying to capture just how much these two love each other. Lance would go anywhere his little nephew wanted. I tried to apply the rule of thirds in this picture and I think it came out pretty good. The lighting and the fact that they are looking off in the same direction add to the peaceful effect.
I think their proximity to one another and their pose creates an emotion that is unmistakably love. The way Deagan appears comfortable and unafraid also adds to this feeling. Beautiful shot of what, I'm sure, was a beautiful moment.
ReplyDeleteThe perspective of your photo is awesome. I'm a big fan. It sounds like you may not be as experienced in photography but this photo is professional grade. You can feel the emotion and the connection between them. I think that's way cool.
ReplyDeleteI like that this picture is taken from that angle looking up. It really translates into holding this relationship in high esteem. I also love that you considered the background and didn't let that distract from the focus. It's a beautiful picture and it conveys their relationship beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI really like the angle of this picture. I love the little boy's face. You can tell he is comfortable with being where he is, and he also seems curious. Its a great picture!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! I think it really portrays the idea of a story behind it--making me wonder where ARE they going to?
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting picture. Thanks for sharing. I love the expressions on their faces--you can tell the bond the uncle and boy share. The framing is great--the nature in the background compliments the subjects well!
